Out of respect for the principles of Islam, which does not allow portrals of the prophet, Afleck would not play Mohammed.  Uh huh.

Would Afleck like to be our envoy to ISIS?

I consider myself liberal, but I am not an apologist for any system, religious or otherwise, that does not respect human rights.  And as practiced in much or the world, Islam is one of the worst, right up there with soviet communism, fascism, and any totalitarian system.

As I recall Affleck was the individual who simply went attack dog on Sam Harris, when Harris appeared on Bill Maher's show.  Apparently, failing to abide by Shariah law's conditions on what you may or may not say about Islam or Mohammed makes you a racist.  Personally, I think insisting on doing so out of "respect" and trying to intimidate other people into doing the same just makes you a dhummi.
