it's the first question any religious nut will ask a non-believer. and it's annoying as shit. Seriously, Religious folks, WHEN WILL YOU GET OVER THAT?

The question is wrong in its basics. First, it's not a "who" since that is restricted to humans, and using it already presumes that there is a human-like being who created man. and that's religion's first flaw. The obvious humanity of god. From which we can only assume that it was man who actually created god to manipulate his fellow man, and that already is quite a sinister motive.

The question should be "What created us?", a chemical reaction? survival of the fittest? the all adaptive evolution? or maybe all of these things combined?
What makes more sense to you? a scientific theory that actually makes sense (only to educated folks unfortunately) or an angry OCD passive aggressive man-child with very similar characteristics to a mere cruelly ambitious human being? Clearly he wants YOU as his slave and servant. if you don't obey, you're eternally tortured in an ever lasting lava filled hole. and if you do his bidding, you'll be divinely rewarded with all your desires fulfilled.

Doesn't all this just sound like a military regime.? the undisciplined get jailed, and the obedient risk their lives for a big fat paycheck.

I don't believe in your religion, I do NOT follow anyone and certainly not a fairy tale created by a mad man during the middle ages. it all seems ridiculous and redundant to me, now if only you could LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!

I am hoping, for your sake this, "angry OCD passive aggressive man-child with very similar characteristics to a mere cruelly ambitious human being" is someone you are not able to avoid. If you are able to avoid this person, and don't, I feel sorry for you. Well, I guess I feel sorry for you either way.

I don't exactly understand your comment, Jean.

I am not sure how to make it any clearer...Is this "angry OCD" a real person? If so, I am sorry you have to associate with him. If you are not forced by work, or some other reason, to be in contact with him, then there is something wrong with you. I try to avoid idiots whenever possible.

The "Angry OCD man/child" is pretty much a description of the humanity of god. and i tend to avoid religious zealots, I just stick to stoner and drink buddies.

In response, I ask first, "so, you believe everything needs a creator". And then ask them "who made god" about "god's god' and "god's god's god" and so on... I then say I am comfortable in not knowing the answers to everything but that is not a reason to believe in a celestial dictator but is a call for investigation and science. "How can one believe in primitive text from a time when humanity was stupid with a lack of any intelligible knowledge compared to today" ? While we might not know at this moment what happened at the exact moment of the Big Bang, we know such an event occurred nearly 14 billion years ago with such evidence as the beautiful microwave background radiation. We also know evolution not only through fossil finds, but the beauties of DNA and the A-T-C-G differentiation in DNA by comparing ourselves to other animals in the animal kingdom and in this way can demonstrate who are our closing living relatives. The belief in a god is for the weakness of humans in their fear of death for themselves and their loved ones.
