I'm trying to help my daughter with her upcoming science project.

I am trying to get information on where a Stingray's brain located.

Any info, links or diagrams appreciated.

I have tried looking it up but have not found anything useful and I know very little about marine biology.

Stingrays belong to the Batoidea Superorder (Rays and Skates).  You could use that as a search topic.

this has some decent diagrams and info. It's for manta ray's though, not a sting ray...close enough??

Excellent, the Stingray's brain is located in front the eyes.

My daughter will be happy to know this information.

Once again Thank You :)

If your daughter has a Christian teacher, you might want to try here:

You probably found this already, but it was interesting.

Gross brain morphology of the yellow stingray:  pdf  brainstem induced motorfunction: pdf

The two bulges in front are part of the olfactory system. The small "leg" in the middle beneath (ventral side) would be the base (cut off) of the optical nerves going to the eyes.

I could not find a picture giving a clear overview of the proportions to the body size. I've looked if I had a book somewhere. But nothing, neither did I find something in an e-book. Only sharks.

They do know how to pick a science project.
