There is no god…

❝There is no god, and that’s the simple truth. If every trace of any single religion were wiped out and nothing were passed on, it would never be created exactly that way again. There might be some other nonsense in its place, but not that exact nonsense. If all of science were wiped out, it would still be true and someone would find a way to figure it all out again.❞

I can already here the religious proponent,

"well if it is wiped out and created again, then that means god exists, even tho its not the same"

Its that old argument that we have all heard:

"If there are so many religions all bearing the same basic them, there HAS to be something true about it"

I would hate to think that if religion was destroyed, given three days lol there would be a zombie version of it! Fuck that.. it would be all mutated and shit... stinky...

But wow, Penn an atheist... good quote.

This is the post that made me sign up to the site, BTW. Thanks M, Penn is one of my idols and his painted pinky nail is more eloquent than me.

(BTW, I became his devotee, not because of his atheism, but my love of magic.)

Well, we may yet find out if Penn is right, because religionists and their compatriots in Congress,  state legislatures, and on school boards are doing their best to wipe science out.

The Perennial philosophy would go against this idea, likewise Jung's "collective unconscious."
