Another poem.

Resound False Faith for Adoration

Resound false faith for adoration,

And live in love precautions be;

To be the farthest from your eyes,

Then pierce the heart of times so passed,

With life; constant pain and end of days.

Hold to your chest the notions of a waining lover,

Far from past and concealed concept.

Let die, in rest, the tale of old,

And, therein, desist the lore of spirits.

Wrench forth the suffered sanction of… Continue

A poem for your thoughts.

Oh, zombified youth!

Our life, our love, our being.

The steps and stages of standards,

Set by faceless overseers.

In truth, beauty has never been in the true eyes of the beholder.

The invisible forms replace all eyes with that of their own.

This land of fashionable sorrow!

Plastic surgery is beauty where love is age.

All the true and wonderful held down by robotic hearts and gauged affection.

Only the dronish live oblivious to the orderly… Continue

Clarity is but an illusion.

There is always a weakening sense when one realizes the presence of love. An absolute flush of cold enters the very deepest part of ones body and soul. Taking over any form or matter of light and dark, judgment and consequence. All blur into a pool of horrid wonder that is indescribable even to those who are experiencing the whirlpool of cupid's scheme. The most befuddling effect is the inability to reason or explain the marvel to one's shaky psyche. All verbal and thoughtful processes come to… Continue

Back from the grave

Research on near-death experiences is unlikely to find evidence that human consciousness can survive without a brain

I was surprised to hear on the news that Sam Parnia has been awarded a big grant to find out whether the human spirit leaves the body at death – whether consciousness can survive when the brain is no longer working. He, and colleagues around the world, will place an image on a platform suspended from the ceiling of hospital wards and resuscitation… Continue

Your Creative Genius Mindset: The Essential Qualities for “Outside the Box” Thinking

To be creative, is to have the capacity to think freely, openly, without limitations or constraints about problems and challenges confronting our life reality. When we are creative, we tend to see opportunities and possibilities that we would normally filter out of our personal experience. Creativity allows us to think outside of the box, around the box and through the box in an imaginative and free flowing manner.

In today’s day and… Continue

Evidence of evolutionary selection found in 544 genes

( -- By comparing the genomes of humans and five other mammals, Cornell researchers have identified 544 genes that have been shaped by positive selection over millions of years of evolution.

"To our knowledge this is the largest and most comprehensive analysis of positive selection to date," write the researchers in the Aug. 1 issue of the journal PLoS Genetics, reporting on research mainly funded by the National… Continue

Creation Story

As time and technology march on, belief systems slowly reinvent

themselves to keep pace with popular culture. Perhaps it is time

for a new creation myth... This one - unfortunately unattributed -

has been circulating on the Net.

21 Easy Hacks to Simplify Your Life

“Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be as two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand instead of a million count half a dozen, and keep your accounts on your thumb-nail.” - Henry David Thoreau

I use these “hacks” myself (in this case, “hacks” refers to workarounds or tricks to reach your goal), and I’ve found them to be effective in many cases. Please note that you might have read some of these once or twice (or thrice) on this blog before, but I thought it… Continue

Atheists Who Speak out are not "railing Against God"

I cannot rail against that which I disbelieve. I can only rail against the actions of those who use their belief as motivation to infringe on my rights.

Many times, more vocal believers who misunderstand what ‘disbelief’ entails, accuse atheists of “railing against god”. I hold no faith in ‘god’, I do not absolutely claim non-existence, only that there is insufficient proof to sway me to follow such Bronze-age myths. I do not believe your claims of a ‘god’ to be valid, and as such… Continue

The 'Atheist' Quota Is Full... Say What?

As I was relaxing on the couch last night watching some T.V. and reading the news online, it was just after dinner and the phone rang. Normally, if it is a number on the caller i.d. that I do not recognize, I can safely assume that it is some sort of telemarketer/pollster/charity. I am on the "Do Not Call" lists but every once in a while a solicitor squeaks through and I have to tell them they will be reported unless they remove me from their call logs. If it is a pollster, depending on what… Continue
