Hell if God wanted cancer cured...maybe the easy thing to do would be for him to not have fucking invented it in the first place.

Hey SteveinCO,  hahahah you are so right!   I love it when religious people always pray for victims of a tragedy or disaster, not realizing (or caring) that they very being they are praying too is the same one who caused the calamity in the first place.  Dumb.

That's what is so interestingly twisted about the westboro baptist church, and them embracing that cancer and death and disease, disasters and wars are god's will.

So there's a tsunami, and thousands dead, and they celebrate.

It DOES make perfect sense if your brain takes god and his plan as a given.

Prayer is asking God to change His divine plan.

Or, just as futile...asking him to abide by it.  Since you can't know which way he was planning to have it turn out.

Sure you do, just wait and see how it turned out.

If the tsunami killed 200,000 people, well, THAT was his plan.  If little Johnny has his brains eaten by amoebas that went up his nose when swimming, THAT was god's plan.

If the big league baseball star gets a home run, THAT was god's plan...and so forth.

Essentially, rather than god "working in mysterious ways", its more like he "sits around collecting unemployment insurance instead of working at all".
