But I'm happy in my big house. We built it ourselves. Of course, it isn't near as big as theirs. but we couldn't get a million for it either. But even if we could, I wouldn't sell it, cause I built it, my son grew up in it, and his children will probably live in it.

Of course this isn't for everyone... Few would downsize like this and be able to give half the price of the house, a million bucks, to charity. I would never give up my handmade home if I was so lucky to have built my dream house.

Just an outstanding one of a kind story. And it wouldn't hurt most of us to give more to charities than we do. My well incomed friends consider putting their old clothes in the church donation bin a charitable donation... What else would they do with it, put it in the trash? Not very giving people if you ask me.

Wow, that seems to be an impressive act of philanthropy. Watching the clip, I was bracing myself for the point where the family would spout how they were "doing it for Jesus" (they are from Georgia after all) ... but it never happened! Even Google turned up nothing religious on them.

How can that be? Why would somebody do such a good deed and not turn it into an opportunity to prosthelytize?
