This is major news in Ireland at the moment. I was going to post on it but I am too angry to do so.

Imagine if you were in a hospital in a country where Jehovah Witness mythology prevailed. Imagine being told that your wife is going to die because they don’t do transfusions because of their religious views. This news video is accurate. The problem is a lack of political will to change this stupid law that hardly anybody I know in Ireland agrees with. The catholic cretins are already on the airwaves ranting about morality and… oh just fuck them too. Their time is up. I will save my energy and direct it at them again tomorrow. All they have to do is start spewing it and they will meet me in full flight. I just hope I will remain as calm as Cenk! Who wants to be next? Just stand up ,please.

Hasn't this case been overblown because of the abortion issue? I mean isn't it possible she died because they gave her the wrong antibiotics or because she had multiple drug resistant bacteria on board?

@Erin,

That's kinda my point. The doctor screwed up. Having a "no-abortion" rule of any kind will lead to errors like this (only when the mother's life is threatened - not easy to assess).
