Just my opinion, and from what I have seen and heard in videos and his writings, he comes of as pretentious, arrogant and disrespectful in the way he argues. I do not think he is a good leader for the movement. Again, just my opinion.

Hes always struck me in a odd way in his arguments also and its something about the way he portrays the closeted i think and kind of jettisons credibility by laying claim to those numbers.

Its giving an out to religious people who say those people aren't closeted they are just confused and lost their way but are still trying to find their way back to god.

 

I think the focus should be towards education and less on trying to lay claim to numbers and that seems to be his constant focus in interviews he does.

Yeah, he's clearly convicted, but not as eloquent as Hitchens (who is?), Dawkins, Harris, etc. It strikes me as unlikely to think that a lot of apatheists--who are really his target audience--are going to rally behind him.
