What about all the good things religion does?

Great message. And a pretty convincing tranny too. Once I heard the voice, I saw the Adam's apple. But nice job. I know a couple of transexuals who could use the tutelage. Not being ornery either. I mean it.

Very wise... very wise... This is one of the many reasons I am a secular humanist and not a christian. I do not wish to be, in any way, associated with the Christians who are abusing others and then expect to be redeemed by "confession" or "good deeds." Secular humanists, on the other hand, do good because it is the RIGHT THING TO DO, not because they have an agenda of any kind.
BTW... this transgender actually fooled me into believing that she was a biological female [before I heard her masculine voice]. Proves that sometimes I can be stupid with preconceived notions too. grr...
However, I think it's great that she is speaking up publicly on the web. It seems sad that too many transgenders don't say anything at all. And it also seems sad that too many people are unaware of the "natural transgender" condition of Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. These poor girls are often unaware that they are biological males until they reach puberty. ;_;

BTW... for anyone wondering, Androgen-Insensitivity Syndrome is a rare disorder in which a genetically male embryo [it has to be at the embryo stage because that is when the sex hormones kick in for the first time and tell the body to become either male or female] lacks receptors to understand the hormone of Androgen [otherwise known as Testosterone]. Because of this... the developing embryo is unable to develop male genetailia and other body parts. So, the physical appearance of the baby develops into a female when her genetic gender is still technically male [xy]. 90% of these children are born with NO external signs of masculinity [in fact 90% of them have external FEMALE genetalia at birth - but they have no uterus or overies - so they are naturally sterile]. Since most nurses and doctors know nothing about AIS, they proclaim the child "female" at birth... and these children are often raise female until they reach puberty. At puberty... the AIS female naturally develops breasts, a female figure, and a female voice range [usually soprano or alto]. And, both AIS children and adults are ABSOLUTELY indistinguishable from genetic females. The sad thing is that after a childhood of being raised as a girl, a young teenage AIS girl learns the truth of her genetic identity when she never starts her period and a genetic test is done on her [which of course comes back xy]. This can [understandably] be very tramatic for these women and they may have to go through years of counseling to establish their identity. Most of these women are HIGHLY sensitive about their condition, and because of their female upbringing, choose to identify as females. Humans may be able to create trans-sexuals through surgery or make-up, but it seems that once again, nature has proven to us that "whatever we can do, it can do better." Don't believe me that AIS girls are absolutely indistiguishable from "normal" females to the naked eye? Check out this photo of one from http://transwoman.tripod.com/ais.htm
