This poses an interesting question. Are pro-lifers really worried about ending a life or killing a soul. I'd say it's not the soul, because allegedly a person can be killed/die at any time but go into the afterlife with the destination based on beliefs and the life they lead. Since many fundies see the 'next' life as the one to aspire to, they SHOULD welcome abortion/early death as a shortcut to eternal bliss. However, we know that's not how they feel...

So they are actually more concerned about actual life in this case. Which is a more noble cause. However their root motivation and methods kill the potential for a positive discussion.
