"He preferred the hard truth to his dearest delusions - that is the heart of science"
The Cosmos series was a masterpeice by Sagan and the way he describes Kepler's suffering connects us with the courage of the man and how precious his hard-won knowledge is.
I loved this series all the way down to the funky sets, turtlenecks and the way he says "cosmos". Thanks for reminding me.

I find this episode on Kepler to be most inspiring. Carl Sagan's Cosmos series also impacted me in ways I shall be forever grateful.
