So Emily Graslie, aka TheBrainScoop, made a video criticizing comments on her science videos while promoting Rebecca Watson in the description to her video. There's nothing wrong with welcoming & promoting female science channels; in fact it should be encouraged. However, instead of a radical feminist like Watson, why not another user like JaclynGlenn or ZOMGitsCriss (the later, admittedly, I've had some disagreements, but she's a far superior content provider)? Let's face it: the internet can be a nightmare at times, but that does not mean one should be discouraged from making videos (unless of course their lives are in legitimate danger), let alone going on a social justice crusade like Watson at secular conferences. I feel that, speaking from a contrarian viewpoint, that this response needed to be said. Again, this is not intended to be a hate video, but an attempt to try and understand one's position.
