Comment by SteveInCO on October 6, 2012 at 5:54pm Nice caricatures. And they are caricatures. I'm impressed.
Comment by Suzanne Olson-Hyde on October 6, 2012 at 7:44pm I would like to order two please, Archy -
OBAMA won't let me hunt the homeless for Sport - That's why I'm voting TEA PARTY.
OBAMA will force innocent millionaires to pay taxes - That's why I'm voting TEA PARTY.
I really wanted to improve my shooting prowess, and Obama won't let me, now. Bugger!
Comment by archaeopteryx on October 6, 2012 at 8:13pm I'm not sure they send absentee ballots to Australian citizens - I know, it's a very narrow-minded attitude on their part --
Comment by Suzanne Olson-Hyde on October 6, 2012 at 8:40pm Oh, really!. Bugger.
Comment by James Cox on October 6, 2012 at 9:04pm Ok, I listened to the fellow for about three minutes.
Observations:
A) A seriously bias and sexist opinion made to sound almost not insane from a bully pulput.
B) Women, because of some gender biased position, blamed for the ills of the US. Males, because of their asserted greater wisdom and sense seem to be blameless. Male authority comes from 'god', and power comes from 'god'.
C) I was going to finish this, but it is so very distastful. He talks about 'shame', he should take some on for his presentation.
Comment by Ed on October 6, 2012 at 9:32pm Joan of Arc would of liked to had 3-5 minutes alone with this clown.
Comment by James Cox on October 6, 2012 at 9:32pm "I'm sending my wife to his church this Sunday to get her mind straight, can't hurt right?..LOL."
Beware the Ideas of October!
Make sure that she leaves her tazzer and pepper spray at home! Please call the fellow and warn him to wear some 'protective undergarment'! I think she could show up for a full unmanning!
Comment by James Cox on October 6, 2012 at 9:39pm "We've (Humanity) has had at least 20,000 years of nearly-continuous, testosterone-driven war - how could women POSSIBLY do any worse?"
During a Feminist Theory class I took about 11 years ago, they mentioned in one chapter the idea of controling males by medication, harvesting sperm, and restraint! There was even one suggestion of retasking sperm banks and killing all male offspring. They called this 'RADICAL FEMINISM'. There were only 8 guys in a class of 30 students, I personally felt a little sqemish.
Comment by SteveInCO on October 6, 2012 at 10:45pm One hopes the women in that class were disgusted. Misandry is just as bad as misogyny and the existence of the latter cannot justify the former.
Comment by James Cox on October 7, 2012 at 1:20am Not that one could tell. While I sympathised with much of it, I could also see that the class could be a soap box for extreamist positions. Atleast no one was sacrificed during the 10 weeks.
On our last day, each student was given a moment to state what they had learned. When It can to me I said, 'I will being going back to my nieve sense of what I thought feminism to be. What I learned in the class was revulsion for much of the ugliness that pretends to philosophy'.
