Perhaps someone should redo the soundtrack replacing the word "woman" with "black man" and then play it back to him! Better still, edit the video too so that it has a "negative film" effect and he comes out white.

 

So true Ian. This is why I always say that, once liberated, every oppressed people become oppressors themselves. Every group once marginalized begins to marginalize others in turn. It is not the discrimination, oppression, prejudice, or hatred that people have a problem with. Only that it is directed at them. Given the opportunity, the majority of people will take on the same prejudices they have bewailed in the past.

 

The first American settlers left England, in part, because of religious oppression, only to become oppressors themselves. Muslims all over the world decry their own supposed oppression, but just look at they treat women or other sects. Many blacks are perfectly content to relegate gays as secocnd class citizens, though they fight against that designation themselves.  

 

Everyone is a hypocrite, it seems.

Oh come on Ian... is it necessary to insert the "women drivers" thing in with what was otherwise a good comment? I'm sure a male driver has never cut you off or done something stupid...

I have to assume you meant that in jest, but some of us women-folk are feeling a bit defensive lately... our sense of humor has ebbed, I think.
