great speech, but isnt that whats happening atm all around the world ? thats why there's war and there's why hate appears..because matters clashes...everyone to each own eventhough one think of the others..this has happened before, and will happened the world goes around, this is the endless cycle.

I'm a little hesitant to follow anyone with that mustache... but he says things I've thought.

I love this version. It uses Hans Zimmer's Time score from Inception -

Sadly, this was the speech (from "The Great Dictator") that began Chaplin's journey down the road to being shunned by most Americans.  The U.S. is the most warmongering nation in history and we are proud of it; we don't like pacifists like Chaplin distracting us from our manifest destiny to rule the world through military domination.

Beautiful speech and very inspirational for everyone to strive to be a better person, be more ethical, although some parts seem idealistic and socialist for my libertarian tastes;  Also isn't helping other groups and peoples relatively new to our human existence, we're tribal, we wage war. "there is room for everyone, the good earth is rich..."  sounds good, but as populations explode...who knows.
