Swedish Kids on God
Taken from an children's program on Swedish public television (SVT).
I find it very interesting how even the kids who say they believe in God sound more reasonable than American Jesus freaks. Like it's just some childhood belief they'll grow out of. Jeez, any one of these kids could beat the shit out of Sarah Palin in a battle of wits. I need to move there!

I would hesitate to say they are thinking on their own. It would be interesting to see their beliefs matched up with their parents.

I wouldn't hesitate at all so say they're thinking on their own, just from experience. I work with kids this age. They are clearly thinking and expressing an internal viewpoint, not parroting. It's impressive to see and at the same time very sad to know that American children are capable of just as much independent thought, but are discouraged from it.
