The priests thoughts are just a theory. If you want to become more well rounded you can read Why Evolution is True. This school board neither endorses or rejects the claims made by either theory.

What's interesting to me is that in all his biblical studies at seminary, he apparently never even considered this. He never thought..."wait a second, where did all the people come from?"

I once asked this very question when I was in a WELS Lutheran elementary school. I was told that while the Bible doesn't mention that Adam and Eve had daughters, they did. We "know" this because it would be necessary to populate the earth. The Bible just doesn't talk about women much because they weren't important to the story. No seriously, that's what I was told.

When I asked the obvious follow up about the incestuous nature of this coupling, I was told that the rules were different then because of the unique situation. Incest didn't become a sin until later when there were enough people to avoid it. uh huh, sure.

I never really bought it, but didn't think about it much...I was too busy collecting Garbage Pail Kids, or some such. The reasoning still stuns me when I think back on it.

Did you notice how he "escaped" from answering the question just as fast as his little laughing priestly lips would allow him to?? Then he giggles at the question and jokes about how they "DON'T REALLY KNOW squat about what HAPPENED.

But what he DOES KNOW is how we're all SINNERS because these Adam and Eve people -- the two people that he just told us that REALLY KNEW NOTHING about -- became SINNERS and decided to disobey the BIG SKYBUDDY.

What a stupid, lying ass****. And this is the BEST they can do? This guy is really lousy at this.

It's like they're not even trying anymore..... ;-)
