I wonder how many Christians realize this method of killing is actually rampant throughout their Holy Books , and how many would give up their Christianity if they just simply read the passages where Yahweh makes it quite clear this method of killing should be used for violating quite a number of his so called 'laws'.

This is appalling, and the more so that it is happening today, in nations we support with our arms and tax dollars.  This from the "Religion of Peace".  That is certainly a peace that passeth my understanding.  I know that this form of punishment is mandated in the christian and hebrew texts, and would certainly come back into practice if our right wing fundamentalist fringes ever gain power. However this barbarity is and would be a crime if attempted in any western society, as is honor killings. But Islamic theocrats are in power in far too many countries of this present world.  All the more reason for a strong and aggressive denunciation of all religions.
