Is there any simple experiment we can perform that demonstrates the existence of God. Here is one powerful and convincing experiment that you can do at home....

Absolutely, Steve. Also some Christians prostrate independently of denomination. A search on YouTube produces examples of both.

My personal favorite-- which I inconceivably left off my previous list-- is being "slain in the spirit"; a cross (no pun intended) between prostration and keeling over.

First video--well that's what I get for never having gone--in alien anthropologist mode--to the little orthodox church near here, which is something I want to do someday if only because it's a very different branch of Xianity than the run of the mill evangelicals and Roman Catholics I see all the time.  (Of course that church--unlike the one in the video--actually has pews in it so it might be a bit odd for an orthodox church.)

Even here though they don't stretch their arms out the way the OP video shows (of course that's not really prostration either, just a funky deep bow).  And to a catholic crucifix?

The other video is not ritual prostration in the sense alluded to in the OP's video, it's just a faith healee falling to the floor.

I think even if I had seen that first video before I saw this satire I'd still have wanted to call bullshit.  It just looks wrong.

@SteveInCO I thought that Douglas Adams was brilliant and I think that's somewhere in the thinking behind this video but I also like the fact, often ignored, that randomness is a great way to explore an environment to map its constraints which is exactly what the water molecules do and is exactly what  life does.

It's true, random motion either through physical space or the "space" (and mathematicians use the word "space" in exactly this way) of all possible organisms will result in all crevices (or ecological niches) being visited eventually, and with enough organisms and enough time, all niches will be filled pretty well.
