Comment by Unindoctrinated on August 29, 2012 at 8:32pm Obviously he hasn't noticed that these droughts of which he speaks, in fact all the extreme weather that affects America, is worst, if not completely confined to, the most religious areas of the country. his god apparently has a thing about the bible belt.
I think he just doesn't care at all about whether anything he says has any factual basis or not. It's not like his intended audience is overly concerned with reality.
Comment by James Cox on August 29, 2012 at 11:04pm Atheists should send a special card thanking Pat for all the good work helping people realize their ATHEIST true calling. Thank yah JESUS! WTF LOL
Comment by James Cox on August 29, 2012 at 11:10pm Sadly we should not be too smug about any 'privilaged' location on the planet where we reside. Extream weather could influence or include ugly firestorms, swarms of locuts, and boils. Today I heard a news story mentioning the increased deaths by West Nile Virus, and a few days ago hattavirus. We shall live in interesting times?
Comment by archaeopteryx on August 29, 2012 at 11:23pm I can assure you no gods are doing this to us, we're doing it to ourselves by not being good custodians of this planet for our descendants. As cartoonist Walt Kelly once said in his comic strip, "We have met the enemy, and it is us."

Comment by James Cox on August 29, 2012 at 11:33pm 'Mandate of Heaven', for the RNC. Next, the 'Mandate of PGE'. LOL
Comment by James Cox on August 30, 2012 at 12:44am Maybe 'the heavens' have been moved temporarily to the Gulf of Mexico? Sounds like the old adage, 'when it rains, it floods..'....duh
