wanted to add that I bet if Richard had a creationism activist come into his office for an interview, I would bet a paycheck that Richard would offer them a comfortable chair at least to sit down in.

I'm not sure whether this is before or after Dawkins officially stated that he would not debate creationists. I'm just glad he did this interview because it really displays the stupidity of creationism. He simply destroys her!

Also, I bet she is a Sarah Palin fan - seems likely that they are even related by family ha ha.

@Billy I disagree, stupid can be fixed, however this level of stupidity usually requires a bit of of violence, and I'm not one to condone that type of behavior.

I think Dawkins missed an opportunity. He should have said to Ms Wright that courts throughout the US have determined that whatever intelligent design is, it is NOT science, and science is what gets taught in the public school science classroom.

@Chris: I'm not one to condone violent behaviour either but speaking from own experience I have never learned so much in a split second as when I got a well timed hand-slap from my father. Of course, back then I was also a little energetic terrorist child so I probably deserved it.

I feel she needs a similar experience ha ha.

@Larisa: I think Dawkins tried to stick to the role of the evolution/biology professor this time and thus suppressing some of his stronger atheist views/arguments. Maybe it is the new style Dawkins or maybe he was more shaken by her lack of sanity than we think ;)

I watched the entire interview he had with this woman, I don't know how he debates with such fools that have no intention on debating.  At times I wanted to punch her in the face.

Constantly laughing at what he says in a poorly hidden attempt at flustering the man, and condescend. Not staying on topic, always bouncing from one topic to the other. The lady couldn't deal with the evidence he presented, and used the same ol' "show me the evidence" thing. Plus her complete lack of understanding of any ideas of dualism other than the one she prescribes to.
