Religion in Gilmore Girls
I was reading this:

Which is titled: Adventism According to Gilmore Girls: A Prime Time Commentary
And a few days before that one of my fellow vidder friends (we make fanvideos of various TV shows and movies) asked me to try and think of all the religious/spiritual moments I could in the MANY tv shows we have in common. Anyway...
Both got thinking about the way Religion is portrayed in Gilmore Girls. So I thought you guys might enjoy watching these scenes again. Gilmore Girls is a wonderfully secular show and does seem semi-anti Mrs. Kim's fundamentalist Seventh Day Adventist religion and not particularly pro-religion at all. Even the brief mention of heaven is comical and reminds me of George Carlin's heaven/hell sketch!
Please comment if you watch or if you read the article with your opinions and whatnot.
By the way Lane is pregnant with twins, that's why she says "children".

The article was an interesting read, I think it was quite a good look at it.
I really like the series for it's witty, fast-paced dialogue and the way it plays with certain stereotypes without actually drawing the characters "into a single corner". Definitely more targeted to girls, but in a way I can appreciate it as a guy.
Thanks for the vid, I never saw the rabbi/pastor scenes and the time-shared church. Hilarious.

Loved the Gilmore Girls. It does seem more targeted toward girls, yes, but I always found it very entertaining even for guys. Don't recall the time-shared church either, but that's hilarious.

I am a girl but my dad and brother both appreciated Gilmore Girls too. :D And well I've made so many fanvideos about the show, all posted to YouTube on my luvtheheaven3 account, so I've practically memorized the show lol.

Glad you enjoyed it, Flower! I am still, years after it's canceled, still SO involved in the fandom - vidding it, watching fanvideos about it, reading and writing fanfiction about it, etc. XD It's one of my top 2 or 3 favorite shows EVER and probably always will be. So I hope you enjoy the show. ;)
