Comment by Boci Boci Tarka on January 9, 2011 at 6:28pm In a sense, Jesus is real. He is the Sun.
Oh, and if you understood how strong this analogy is, congrats to you, you are smarter than most Americans. If you are worried about the details, calm down, the stars are there, and all the small details of the myths fit together (Krishna did have 8 brothers, but he was concieved without sexual union, etc). This really is the essence of Christianity.
And don't forget to familiarize yourself with the Zeitgeist Movement, and Peter Joseph's second film, the Zeitgeist: Addendum, they see humanity's problems in the appropriate context.
Comment by Anders Tornblad on January 9, 2011 at 7:02pm Thanks for summarizing this in a simple easy-to-understand way.
Actually, this is not new information. The similarities between Horus (et al) and Yeshua have been well known for decades. The fact that the entire New Testament is a post-construction to fit both the "Form 1A of deities" (Horus), and all the prophecies of the Old Testament, should be taught in schools!

There are records however, of Yeshua of Nazareth having a following. The mythology is bullshit, but I am still willing to grant his historical existence based on testimonials of his followers preserved in Roman law. Grant you, it's nothing more than, "these people follow someone named Jesus!" but all the same, I feel it makes our case stronger if a real person was mythologized.
