Dont forget that delightfull passage in the bible about a rapist paying the victims father 50 shekels and then the rape victim had to marry her rapist

Don't forget that that's more "in the Bible" than in practice anywhere in Christendom. By contrast, it's in practice in Islamic countries.

What's the point of quoting passages in the Bible nobody really takes seriously anymore. I don't even think any Bible literalists observe that passage nowadays.

You sound somewhat biased. I don't know if you're a Christian maybe, but actually it's not Islamic law, and I'm sure the majority of them object to this as much as we do. So don't be quick with directing your anger towards individual parties and becoming a bigot. Superstition and gods created by misogynists will always lead to such disgusting acts, and make the those who inflict these acts think they did justice. There isn't any need to differentiate between different flavors of the same bs, though.

I don't care what religion and/or culture it is this kind of stuff is simply abhorrent and shouldn't be tolerated by anyone anywhere in the world and should be punished to the full extent of the law.
