The following is excerpted and appended from a previous reply, elsewhere.

Science, with its ups and downs, has brought us to this partial but informative truth: there really is a reason we are here. This says nothing about a potential, cosmic, God . . . but it does say, "Man! THIS is the life."

The universe has brought us here and now. There is no such thing as a miracle . . . but what comes closer than the fact that we are here to appreciate the wonder of all existence?

non of us claim to know for certain that there is no God...that's something that everyone seems to assume.

some people are agnostic for life....in other words lady...it IS their end position.

also, I'm not going to take the ill-informed opinions of other people to heart. Of course they may think they know there is a god, but you will never know unless you experience it for you're self.

this argument has nothing to do with seeking truth...she's just saying that you should listen to why some people beleive in god, and stop at that.

also...how is claiming that we don't know something proof for it?

The fool says in his heart there most certainly IS a god. pshh..not to mention they used circular reasoning.

ughh...this makes me nauseous. Atheism is a lie my ass..

and I'm going to say this again. THIS IS NOT PROOF! This is an attack on atheism. It's funny how they can only covert us to agnosticism.

Cheap parlor trick. Yawn. This sounds like Ray Comfort.

3 different things:
1. I don't know if there is a "God"
2. I do not believe in a "God"
3. God does not exist

#1 should really be true for all humans (all agnostic). #2 is true for me as an atheist. #3 really cannot be asserted any more than "God does exist."

Oh well, nice try lady.

How convenient she doesn't have an actual atheist in the video to refute her claims instead of her role playing and inserting her own wishful thinking responses into the scenario. I could turn the whole "logic" she's using right back on her.

Actually, it's not too difficult to claim that God does not exist. All you have to do is point out that the very concept of "God" is a nonsensical concept.
