I knew Chopra was selling bullshit but I didn't know he was such a prick.

I remember watching this debate in full. Deepak and that nutjob lady got absolutely annihilated by Sam Harris and Michael Shermer on national television. It was glorious. My guess is SH got Mlodinow some tickets and invited him to come for this specific purpose.

Adriana I couldn't agree more. Chopra's concept of believing in non-local consciousness and the infinity and merging this with the concepts of quantum physics is preposterous. I think you've got your duckets of glory from the illusion of the new age movement, Chopra. Now BE GONE!

Gotta admire how that Chopra can string along a line of bullshit that, I'm sure, sounds impressive to people who have no idea what in the hell any of that stuff is supposed to mean.  I at least know what he's TRYING to say, which is why I know it's a crock of shit.

IT is so good to see a debate on facts.  Let me see the 1st 8 comments are nothing but slanderous put-downs.  This makes your position look really tenable.  This is proof that brainwashing can occur to an atheistic person as well as a religious person.  Please leave me your addresses and I will personally UPS a pitcher full of nice cherry kool-aid so you all will have more to drink:)

Fact: Deepak Chopra is a lunatic, or charlatan. His ideas are based upon faith and aspects of the world that contradict science. So, if you have problems with us not debating facts further than this, it is because there aren't any. Cosmic consciousness is total crap... scientifically demonstrable.

I know that Deepak is a charlatan, but he did teach me to meditate and to love the phrase "Happy Little Molecules" (which can only properly be said in an Indian accent).  Unfortunately, that's about it.

One more quick comment: what's up with those sparkly eyeglasses?
