Highschool's over pastor dude.  Time to give up talking like a tenth grader.  Granted, the language one uses doesn't invalidate their arguments, but there really only is one point of interest in that rambling as far as I'm concerned: is it reasonable that churches allow homosexuals as members of the clergy given some of the content of the Bible?  I'm not all that well informed here, but it seems like it shouldn't be that big of a deal.  Church doctrines and values have always been changing with time, and it's not like homosexuality is actually an important topic in the Bible.  If the standard for clergy membership was absolute adherence with the code set forth in the Bible, it would be the end of organized Christianity.

Where does the whole thing about Barney Frank being arrested for pedophilia come from?  I've never heard this before, and it doesn't come up in a cursory internet search, so I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that it's baseless.

Even if it's not an important topic in the bible, it seems of extreme importance to some people... insecurities and all ;)

There are so few ways one can be the absolute definition of ridiculous, and yet, this fool has taken the title. What goes on in his mind to make up stuff and be so blatantly rude to a minority. Douche

He is an example of how everything has it's flaws - the internet allows him to spew his crap at more than just those with the misfortune to live near him. He is also an example of how some people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them - even if it is for the good of others.

I did a simple internet search and found quite a few pages all refering to the same few incidents regarding Barney Frank. It seems that he has (supposedly) had sex with 17-year-olds (who are legal in DC) including an intern. The weirdest accounts also put George HW Bush at the same parties where "underage" boys and girls were present. I put underage in quotes because no ages are given but it is implied that they were young.

Unfortunately, most people are lazy about their terminology and call teens "children". Since teens are in adolescence transitioning from being a child to being an adult, this is inaccurate at best. Similarly lazy is the use of the word "pedophilia" which only refers to sexual contact with someone pre-pubescent and does not refer to sex with teens. But everyone who has sex with a child or a teen is labelled a "pedophile".

Heck even if the "offender" is the "child's" boyfriend only 2 years older (17 & 19) he can be arrested and convicted of statutory rape. Someone only 2 years older should not be arrested because the parents don't like him. Especially not after they've been in a relationship since he was a minor. Unfortunately I don't remember the names and can't find an article about it with a quick search. This happened in Madison, Wisconsin 5-7 years ago IIRC.

Sorry, the idiot in the video got me riled up. People like him screw things up for everyone. Why can't we have laws allowing minors and adults whose ages are within 2-3 years of each other have a relationship? Because people like him can't understand even normal sexual desires.

(As for greater age differences - no, not if the younger person is underage. Too great a chance for the older person to manipulate the younger - even unconsciously.)
