This so awful.  Emotionally and psychologically manipulating vulnerable gay teenagers into believing that they are wrong in the eyes of this fiction of a god.  The sad thing is these very same teenagers will find out later that this meaningless ritual had no effect on them at all and that they are still gay and this will make them make thenselves feel even worse than they are already.  I imagine that some of them will try to hurt or kill themselves.  A few might even succeed.

Like most of these "religious performers" the people who come up front are usually shills, either; believers told that they need to come up to encourage those who really are gay to come up, or they are paid to do so.

I agree that most if not all of them are shills. It's just too many for them to just randomly go up there. Doesn't make the whole thing or the audience any less creepy.

 

Check out the YouTube comments. For once they are pretty great. Lots of pointing out he he is violating the Levitical law about tattoos among other things

Seriously?!?!? This is gentle and loving?!?!? You just told a bunch of children that it is wrong to be who you are(if these kids are truly gay and not just shills). That you need to change to be accepted and loved. It pisses me off so bad to see people like this make kids hate themselves for something that is out of their control. This is utterly digusting. I am digusted I used to participate in this. It is weird to see this from the outside, when you're in it you don't recognise it, Notice how the music starts playing LOUDER as more come up. wow, just wow.
