It is OMEGA Centauri, not Alpha Centauri. Nitpicking apart, hasn't the theory that there is a black hole at its centre been out there for a while?

Thanks for pointing out my mistake, Dune. Haste makes waste....and mistakes.

To be perfectly honest, I do not know how long the hypothesis for a black hole in this cluster has been around. My take is that there has been refined observations that confirm that hypothesis. Astronomy is something I am just now getting into in a more serious way.
