Nice. I don't say the pledge anyway, never have. In a Republic, the people do not pledge their allegiance to the government; the government pledges its allegiance to the people. We have it ass backwards in the U.S.

Wow I'm surprised that considering when this was done they just took out the God part and that was... idk... "normal". And um... why haven't we done this in our public schools yet?! OR I suppose wherever you say the pledge - I think of it as such a school activity though, having done it every way for 13 years in Kindergarten through 12th grade LOL. Of course in high school 3 of the 4 years the homerooms I was in just stood and put their hands on their hearts but never opened their mouths. So we heard the pledge on the school's PA system but didn't say it. Idk why. LOL.

WOW. I had no idea that the "Under God" part of the pledge was ADDED in 1954 - AFTER this cartoon was made. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pledge_of_Allegiance I didn't realize the pledge would change that much or that often. Why would we move BACKWARD and add Religion to something that never had Religion in it. ERR. So aggravating.
