This revisionist history is being spouted to make money (speaking fees). I can see no other reason for it. Anyone attempting to use these "congressional documents" to support an effort to get the bible included into schools will find themselves overwhelmed by evidence to the contrary. Of course Beck hasn't been interested in truth for a long time, so he wouldn't have checked these claims out.

Thank you for sharing this.
I think this is why Glenn Beck has such a following.
He 'teaches' some form of history to his followers
(who never did pay attention in their school days)
and gives them nuggets of poorly researched information
to support their wild delusional beliefs.

Glenn Beck is a wackadoodle. In the TIME interview he even said that he makes shit up to get ratings. (more or less)
