Hey Nessrriinn,

The suffering and imprisonment of religions you so aplty described and illustrated in this video is the very thing that has inspired my interest in deconversion. Were you Shia? You mentioned Iran in your video and my family has connections there. Anyway, it was a truly beautiful video, the best I've seen. Bravo.

If it is okay with you I've linked it into my website at kirkomrik.wordpress.com

Nessrriinn, that was really touching and well made.  Thank you for sharing.  How brave you are.

That was incredible, Nessrriin! Well-written, well-edited, and well-produced, and should be entered into some film festival somewhere - truly professional work, and with a profound message as well.

I don't mean this to detract from your wonderful story N essrriinn, but for the past couple of weeks, I've been advertising on this website and many other like-minded sites, the fact that there is a petition that has been set up to try to accumulate one million signatures for the UN Education Envoy to present to Pakistani President Zardari, Prime Minister Ashaf and KP Province Governor Kausar.

The last time I was able to check, the site boasted nearly 840 thousand signatures from all over the world, until Sandy hit. The site went down for several days, but now the petition portion is back up - you can still sign it - only the counter, to let us know the overall progress, is missing.

If anyone hasn't signed it, and cares to, please go to http://www.avaaz.org/en/malalahopenew and do so! Malala and the girls of Pakistan deserve a chance too --

Wonderful

Every day you show your face in public, is a victory against barbarism.

My journey, Nessrriinn, and yours, regarding childhood questioning of family values, are the same, but there the similarity ends - you have overcome generations of operant conditioning - domestic Stockholm Syndrome - to be where you are, and I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of your achievement.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything Nate and Jessica and all of the others have said, but I have to admit that, that aside, I am riveted by the production values of your video - seriously, it needs to be submitted somewhere, as it has award-winning merit!!!

@Arch, enjoy some intrepid words:

... Haram!

Islam was the Truth … It wasn’t just a religion, it was a way of life  … that Islam was the one … true path.

... I was molding the Koran into something it wasn’t …

It was like walking on broken glass, every single step I took was painful, but if I was ever to reach smooth ground I had to keep going ...

... I believed in equal rights for everyone, everywhere.

As painful as it was, my heart still breaks thinking of my family living in fear, or that they feel guilty every time they miss a prayer,

It ... breaks ... my ... heart to think they let one moment of this life pass them by …

... somehow Allah will make it up to them in the afterlife.

As painful as it was losing my religion, its spectacular how sweeter life became.

... His [God’s] only retribution is that he does not exist.

And my retribution is, that I do!

You either have total auditory recall, or you watched that video a bunch of times!

Doesn't she write well?!!!
