Despicable!!! Religion completely destroys the genuine human emotions and leaves behind a blind beast. Sorry for those kids that grow up in these environments. I grow up in such societies. My first memories that I can remember from my childhood I was so frightened by the scenes like this video. As I grew up and got older they became slowly ordinary. If I would have made the same progress I was making in that route I don't know what would have become of me. Luckily most people slow down and also nowadays due to Internet and information flow more people are becoming against these kind of acts. I wish one all these brutal human action are erased.

The whole point is that in slaughter houses - they don't do it in front of children for a religious celebration/indoctrination. Come on brother, what kind of lame comparison was that?

Mostafa - I have been curious. I have never heard your story on how you became atheist - I have a gist of what I can imagine - but would you be willing to share your story?

And yes - these practices are barbaric and primitive - particularly with children involved. I truly consider this torture and child abuse. And Mostafa is right - fortunately we have the internet now along with satellite television - but still, these practices have left a dent upon our culture.

So they slaughtered an animal in the street?  That's it?  The kids look a bit confused by the whole affair but they don't look traumatized.  The symbolic self flagellation is rather pathetic and the children obviously don't realize the pain it's meant to symbolize - a rather insidious method of indoctrination to be sure.

This is torture. For anyone to introduce such a ritual/beheading to young children - and making them desensitized to this cruel violence - is one of the worst forms of torture and indoctrination one can put towards the young.
