I understand that lots of people are believers but to attempt to kill your children?  I hope they survived. The heading said she "tried".  I hope that's as far as she got.

Now was she this crazy and used religion as an excuse? Or did the brainwashing actually make her this crazy? That's what will keep me up at night.

It's the thought patterns the religion reinforces that lead to this sort of crap.  Rather than investigating, one is encouraged to follow intuition in trying to connect all events.  This likely seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to do from her perspective - which is the wacktarded perspective.

"The victims were treated at Antelope Valley Hospital for moderate though non life-threatening injuries and released to custody of Department of Children's Services."  KTLA News.

Saw someone referring to W.L. Craig's recent defense of biblical infanticide.

Can't find if she made something so unfathomably sick up in her own head, she was a Camping cruiser or followed some other end-time dumb ass with a messiah complex.

I'm really to the point that I don't know what to feel anymore when presented with things such as this.. I fear i'm becoming desensitized to the stupidity of the religiously infected and nothing they can say or do can truly shock or amaze me anymore.

"Ah yes.. a religious person causing death and destruction.. What else is new.."  Ya know?

The part that I find most disturbing is that I cant decide (from a logical point of view) weather i'm happy or sad that she failed. You can't help but to feel bad for the innocent children, abuse to a child is horrible no matter what the direct cause of it is, but those feeling are quickly combated by the knowledge that children of nut-job uber-religious parents often (if not the majority of the time) turn into nut-job uber-religious parents themselves.

So I guess the only hope of any good coming from this situations is that if it becomes a horrific learning experience for these children on the true horror and abomination against humanity that religion is and serve as a means of breaking the chain.

But hopes of that are quickly diminished by knowing that they will most likely be placed into christian foster care where they will be explained that although their mother loved them, she was possessed by the dark lord or some other type of non-sense story that is going to cause more long-term damage to their already delicate mental conditions. Can we says "YAY!" for their future husbands and children..?

So yeah.. I'm not sure how i feel about it all.

I am sure. Those kids were the victim of a horrendous crime. And they are going to live with it for the rest of their lives. If that woman is ever going to return to her senses and realize what she has done, there is nothing worse that could have happened to her. I feel sorry for them all.

Another example of the serious mental illness that is fundamentalism.

I'd love to hear what the daughters think.

lock her up- throw away the key-and get the kids some secular counseling ASAP.

parental rights should be terminated.

The religion virus strikes again- I suspect there are, or will be, more stories like this thanks to the idiots who think they can predict the end of the world based on their religious beliefs.

And, once again, people divert the discussion from the fundamental role of her belief in god and her religious beliefs to her mental problems and the fact that she needed help.
