This is what makes me stay in SC. These children (and there are plenty of these type of individuals in the south) need an education. From the looks of it (Obama's a Muslim), the parents are doing that great of a job. We need more secular people to come forward and help fight against this ignorance. Otherwise, we may just end up with a theocratic state

I concur with Kris. It seems that they are pushing only their agenda. What about the rights of others? What if Muslim students wanted some Islamic verses posted around school? I'm sure they would be opposed to that...Like I said above, these children need to be taught about the separation of church and state and what the actually means for our country and what it would mean if we did not have it.

& You're right, Kris. If you're going to bitch about something, at least have the balls to stand for it through the end..don't get scared once an authority figure shows up!

These kids are pathetic, brainwashed wastes of space and that older woman should know better to talk shit about how 'I'd rather we have the commandments [up in the school] than have the $300,000'. Stupid cow - do you really think that the county (a rural one, at that, that probably doesn't even have that much for anything in their budget, much less ONE ill-advised crusade for bullshit's sake) is going to agree to drop 300k for a stupid laminated list of made-up rules? With so many teachers being laid off and our students falling behind in virtually every way and every subject, to hear someone say it's okay to throw good money after bullshit turns my stomach. It's crap like this that makes me glad I got the fuck out of the south and went somewhere where the people have some fucking sense. UGH!

And they wonder why we think they're stupid.

Its the people who go to school's choice.

LMAO - Using that argument the people who goto school can choose not to attend classes, turn in assignments or give exams.

To echo Kris's point, they seem like they've drawn a line in the sand for jeezus until the principal comes out and says "get your ass in the school."  Then everybody runs to class.  Never underestimate the power of a few stupid loudmouths trying to control people.  "Nobody goes to class," she says.  How'd that work out, princess?

I hate to burst their bubble, but apparently they don't understand they live in the United States Of America with a constitution we uphold.  Giles County is welcome to secede if they don't dig it.

"This is gods country, this is a beautiful community, these are beautiful people, we can make decisions for ourselves."

Oh, please. I bet you can't make a single decision without consulting god. How about starting to think by yourself to free yourself from the fairy tales and delusion of religion. What a pitiful angry mob...
