Under normal circumstances, I won't contradict how a person self-identifies, but her husband is just too absurd in his suppressed sexuality.  That said, her husband wouldn't be a part of her administration; he'd be the First Lady.  As with misogyny before this, many presidents married women, yet wouldn't necessarily want them in their administrations.

 

This interview is depressing overall, but it is nice to see these politicians hem and haw over gay rights issues.  It means that they actually do feel the pressure of pro-equality America.  I know that doesn't seem like much, but it seems to me like a sign that public opinion is swinging on the issue to the point that even staunchly conservative politicians are watching their step.

I have said before that I think Michele Bachmann is a despicable human being, and I still believe that.  She is a bigot of the worst kind, her views rooted firmly in the Dark Ages, and she has repeatedly shown herself to be intolerant, incompetent and, worst of all, wishy-washy when it comes to her platform.  If you stand for something, stand for it.  If you stand against something, either continue to go against it or give a reason why you changed your mind.  You can't just say one thing for years and convince people that your views are correct, then turn right around when the microscope is on you and say something else.  I cannot stand this woman because of who and what she is, but the fact that she will forsake her own belief(s) for the sake of a political agenda just infuriates me even more.  *steps off soapbox* Okay, I'm done.

How can anyone watching this take her seriously? The people she offends by the stupid shit she says won’t vote for her no matter how much she avoids answering important questions, and the ones who will vote for her regardless don’t give a shit whether or not she’s bigoted. She should just answer the damn questions.

This is a women who publicly stated she does whatever her husband tell hers, because the bible said she has to submit to him. So lets go to magic make believe land for a second. If she was elected president her gay husband would actually be in control.
