At least they have finally admitted that terrorism is defined by ideologies and not tactics. The next step is getting them to review some different ideologies.

Be sure to differentiate this person from a terrorist. He attacked the military for the purpose of winning a battle. He didn't attack innocent civilians, like a coward. He is a warrior. If this were the U.S. revolutionary war and he was an American, you would call him a hero, too. If he wasn't Muslim, getting his strength from the Koran, you would think differently.

I don't see the problem with this video. A brave man dies fighting an oppressive regime. Aren't these fighters being supported by the US and NATO?

You have to apply moral relativism. Giving your life for a cause is not necessarily extreme, it is the context in which it is done that determines whether it is or not. In this case, a single man fighting oppression gave his life in objection to his oppressors.

To blame this man of extemism would be equal to blame MLK of extremism. We may not agree on the religious message they put forth, but we can agree on the worthiness of fighing oppression.

it isn't like he blew up a daycare. He died fighting a monster.
