"How could anyone look at the beauty and complexity of our world and say that it isn't part of an Intelligent Design?" This video explores some of the "desig...
I looked through the archives and did not see this piece by Seth Andrews. It is quite engaging in it's reasoned clarity on how our planet was not formed by the wand of a creator.
Intelligent Design is one large, insignificant argument from ignorance.
A designer whose product has as many flaws as our bodies have is less than intelligent.
To start, think tooth decay and appendicitis. If they don't persuade you, think genetic birth defects.
What intelligent being would think up anything as ridiculous as sex?
"Who in their right mind would put the entertainment complex in the middle of the sewage system"
Neil deGrasse Tyson.
How intelligent is it to design one species who will ultimately destroy all the others?
ALL the others? Which species is it that can kill the bacteria living miles below the surface of the Earth? So far, life is found no matter how deep we drill.
And don't forget that The Lord works his wonders in mysterious ways. You may not "get" the reason why he'd create a species that could destroy all the others, but that's because you don't understand his wonderful plan.
This will be the plan where most of the humans that live will be consigned to hell? Great planning.
Your point is taken, there are some low forms of life that may escape us. Maybe. You do understand my point? Does it make sense that an intelligent designer would introduce an environment killing species in a non evolutionary scheme?
