Me, too, Ian.  I was transfixed by the water drop on the windshield.   I kept asking myself, "Why doesn't that little drop of water evaporate or blow off?"  I take it as a metaphor: the water clings stubbornly to the forlorn hope that it will survive the science of evaporation.  This Christian zealot clings to the pathetic delusion that there is a magic man in the sky who will enable him to escape death.

Say WHAT! Obviously does not know meaning of atheism. Besides, he doesn't have a profound knowledge of English language.... Or any philosophical tenets. He sounds like the guy who got me fired. He told me that I was  Evil, Satanic, and Demonic. I said "I can't be, there's height requirements." Or the one who told me that it was OK for me to talk about my celtic ancestors, but not to the extent that I'm Satanic? It reminds me of my mother's saying, "He's alright in his place, but that hasn't been dug yet."

This guy is an idiot I had no father figure all my life and I turned out fine. I don't need his god or any other god to dictate my life. Sigh these people seem to be stuck in one mimdset of what true atheism is. And yhe talks about doing research has he even done his research about his own religion

Sure, the fellow means well and he thinks he's trying to help, the poor ignorant fool, but... that was just all kinds of messed up.
