Harrisburg mayor plans 3-day fasting + prayers to solve financial crisis

Yeah, this might work. How about throwing in a prayer or two for the people of Japan or Haiti while you're in the "giving" spirit.

*facepalm*

Luckily that's in the state to the north of me, but the proximity is still too close for comfort.

Is this for real!? - An officially elected mayor seriously believing that fasting and prayers will save and unite their city?

How about taking your job seriously and start working the city's social and economic strategies to make the city a place where people actually want to live in this time and age...

Come on America, how can you allow such nonsense in high office!

Maybe they should fast for a month or two and see if THAT helps...

If they were really devote they would offer up the city financial planner as a human sacrifice. Would accomplish more.

So does this rank as being more or less stupid than the governor of Texas calling for a state-wide day of prayer for rain a few months ago?

Not "more" or "less" but 'just as'

Harrisburg is only an hour away from me , maybe their prayer will help Maryland too!  :D
