Fox News: Parents Outraged Over School Book Portraying Jesus as a "Socialist"

Gretchen Carlson interviews the parents of a child who was scared shitless over a book's reference to Jesus being a socialist and whined and cried about having to read a book. This video is credited to AtheistMediaBlog.

Oh please! The kid probably asked to be home schooled to get away from the other kids who were making fun of him. I'd imagine being raised by people like that would make you a Class A dork. Sorry, but that's just not normal teenage behaviour. What are they going to home school him in, theology? ugh!

Wow... The host looks like some sort of news anchor parody, the way she just has that blank look on her face and continuously nods throughout the video.

But a kid asking to be home schooled... That's a new one to me.

LOL Jesus-bashing, Obscenities  Awe, it assaults religious belief how sad. Do they think that when going to high school his son will not hear obscenities?  Do they think Jesus didn't drink wine? Only grape juice right. you know, Welches. How are they offended by calling Jesus a Socialist? Jesus was all for the poor and tearing down the rich.

Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." Matt 19:21

"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god." - Matt 19:24

The obvious problem for this kid is his parents sheltering him into timid, whining, idiocy.

Life is too short for this kind of crap. Sorry, I'm tired of these folks.

Did I catch this right? They want to remove some part about getting away from drug use? Huh?

Yawn.

Oh Christians... you like to cite historical proof for Jesus in the Criterion of Dissimilarity? Here's a chicken looking to roost. Luke 7:34:

The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber,

I have to agree. I don't picture any savior as being a drunkard, and since there are multiple passages in multiple books of the Bible about Jesus and wine, I would have to agree that he was a winebibber.

If you don't think the early Christian church was a commune then you haven't studied Christianity. Jesus was devoutly socialistic as well he advocated a society where everyone was equal. He is perhaps fiction's most outspoken socialist activist.

The woman on the left just couldn't get out of that interview quickly enough.  LOL at the comment by Goerge Kwant below.

'Wine guzzling socialiast' perfectly portrays Jesus.  I'd add a few things more in there but would hate to 'offend' anyone ... sigh.

If my child came home and complained that much about a book, I would be embarrassed as it would be a reflection of how I raised them.
