FOX: Behind the Liberal Media's Assault on Christianity

April 28, 2010 on FOX News with S.E. Cupp, Author of 'Losing Our Religion' - via

I may run the risk of committing a "No True Scotsman" fallacy, but is this chick really an atheist? Part of me is severely suspicious that it is a gimmick she is using to promote her book. She did absolutely nothing to correct Hannity's completely twisted definition of atheism. Regardless of how she feels about Christianity, I would think that she would at least be able to properly define her own atheism.

I'm suspect of her Atheism as well. At the very least she has a poor grasp of history and facts one would expect her to know... I'm not saying she's not, but something just doesn't seem right to me.

Something's definitely wrong in Denmark.

I also doubt she's an atheist. I think she's just trying to fill a niche market and bring non-believers "into the conservative fold."

I find it highly suspicious how quick she is to label herself as the perfect candidate to discuss the subject, saying that her atheism makes her necessarily objective because she doesn't "have a dog in this fight." Even Hannity isn't buying that she's an atheist, lol.

Although, I have to say that I think her level of belief or disbelief in God is probably the same as all the other pundits who actually claim to be religious. Cupp has just found a different way to wield Christianity in her favor by claiming disbelief rather than belief; it paints her as a hero defending a righteous cause that she supposedly doesn't even benefit from.

Also, I like how she claims to be "open to conversion," whatever that means; to me, it sounds like she is just playing the damsel in distress and looking for a Christian savior to come rescue her from her atheism. Really, this is just set to play out like a badly-scripted reality show. Look for her "How I found Jesus" book in a few years.

Agreed, Shine. And after her book drops, she'll announce her candidacy for POTUS in 2020.

Scratch that. 2016.

The Nyquil is still exercising its influence over my thought processes. ;o)

No way, the ticket will be this: Palin for president, Bachmann for vice president, and a campaign promise to nominate S. E. Cupp as Secretary of State.

Their campaign slogan?

2 GIRLS 1 CUPP IN 2020!

Okay, that was probably the worst attempt at a pun ever. But I'm sure everyone is accustomed to my terrible humor by now. ;)

Republicans worship Regan. This woman does not represent atheists, I think she's a total idiot. If she's says she's an atheist today, what will she be tomorrow? I agree, this broad's a fraud!

Loved her comment that fear mongering is the liberal media's bread and butter, when the network she`s on has cornered the market on that.

Epic slogan, Shine!

What a bunch of nonsense. If she is actually an atheist then whey doesn't he ask her some hardball questions. You can only defend christianity so much while at least pretending to reject it yourself. You can't seriously defend something that you believe is lie. In that case it's merely an "opium of the people" arguement. Have her clearly present that reasoning and see how much the religious think she's "on their side."
