That was the point that stuck with me, as well. I don't believe in prayer, but I do believe in prudence. I also agree that we should explore natural medicinal alternatives, unfortunately most of the "alternative" forms are bullshit, just like prayer.

It's unfortunate that society seems to relegate itself to opposite ends of the pendulum. It is more likely that it's relative because the media can't function in the middle. So, we are saturated with stories of the fringe, but my point remains. The pharmaceutical world can be just as destructive to our health as it a source of healing, and the open mindedness of the other side seems to lead to their minds become stupidity sponges. So, while the giants may be sitting on the cure for cancer and waiting to find a way to market it; the opposite end is drinking magic water and or praying.

There aren't cuss words bad enough for people who would allow a loved one to suffer because they can't face reality.

What the heck are they waiting for? Blackened toes are a sure sign that gangrene has set in. It can be deadly if not attended to quickly, and the longer they wait the more of her leg will need to go.
