I was born in New Orleans, and my whole family still lives on the MS Gulf Coast.  I have friends there.  Let's assume that God is real for just a moment, just so I can point out how much of a bitch that this painted clown is, and how fucking retarded her whole church is for making this hurricane swing on down and visit my family.  I love that this kind of thing actually helps solidify belief in God rather than belief in science.  Hahahaha.

Gives NIMBY= 'Not in my back yard' a whole new meaning! You think this could be why the economy is in the toilet? A well placed prayer could do to the world, what only an asteroid before had the power to do! Another good reason to surpress religion, it is truely an uncontroled force for mixed blessings!

Of course we all know she is really saying "please God, favor me over my fellow humans since I/we are so special. She probably also prays for a good parking space at the mall.

Yeah.  I saw a tweet last night that was posted by a good friend of mine saying that he was having some awful pains that he couldn't explain, and that he had gone to the hospital and they couldn't find anything.  So he started praying and he would hold his hand over his heart, where a tattoo of his deceased father is, and the pain went away.  He then went off on how people didn't need to tell him what to believe in.  To me, if doctors don't find a reason for the pain, it says a couple of things:  It either says more tests are needed, or the pain was caused by a psychological reason, or it was a symptom of an illness he has had for a while that has kept him from working.  I don't think God channeled healing powers through his dad's tattooed face.  Prayer isn't helpful.  Not being a retard is helpful.

As much as I hated seeing the aftermath of Issac on La/Miss I am anxiously awaiting his arrival here in Northern Arkansas where we are in the midst of a terrible drought. Thanx Mother Nature.

That's always the theist reaction.  If some sort of disaster is avoided, they automatically assume that it means God favored them.  At least I didn't hear the woman say something like "The hedonistic sinners in New Orleans deserve to be smote by the lord!!!!"  She probably said it, but they cut it from the interview.
