Believing in something because it makes you feel "good" is a terrible thing, and can lead to horrible consequences. Like executing a suspect with-out proper evidence, just because of an over-whelming need for revenge. If something is wrong, then it is wrong. Emotion has no part in what defines existence, and just because something is a "belief" does not automatically grant it respect. Respect the person, not the belief!
