*Facepalm!* Just listen to some of the crazy talk coming from these crazy students and teacher who believe in Creationism and at the same time wear the cross...
Wtf ???? this is not an episode from monty python is it ?
It's scary to see how out of touch of the real world these students are, these are the future of america.
I'm sorry folks but i can see a second Dark Ages coming to your country and indeed for the rest of the world :(
We live in the 21st century, i used to think when i was very young that in the year 2000 (that looked so far away) that the age of reason was coming.
We would all leave the supersticious mumbo jumbo behind and focus on science we would wipe out famine , desease , abd bigotry, but alas when i see stuff like this the future looks bleak :(
"Not by accident, you may be sure, do the Christian Scriptures make the father of knowledge a serpent--slimy, sneaking and abominable. "
Well, he did hit the nail on the head with this:
"Your ideas are trash. Keep them out of this room. We don't want to discuss that. Don't you know you're being one of those hick hillbillies, believing all that religious stuff?"
Why did he assume that to set someone straight about scientific facts, he'd have to be an asshole about it? I could have squared that kid away without being a rude dick about it. This is what Creationists and Christians always do, they try to make it sound like teaching the truth requires being a complete dickhead somehow. LOL....go figure.
Another thing about this video, The part where he states "How could I say to a student, your ideas are trash, keep them out f this room, blah blah blah". Really? If I had been the camera person I would have had to leave right then and there because there is no way I could have stopped myself from saying "Your job is to teach not to preach, if they don't know the right answer to something then you do what you are PAID to do, teach them what that answer is, you stupid SOB!"I probably would have said a lot more and been fired but damn, really?
The entire point of that man being a teacher is to give the children a proper education. If I was in say, math class and the teacher pointed to me and ask "Tammy what is two plus two?". I sure as shit would say "Uhhh, ONE" and if I did. That teacher wouldn't let me leave that classroom without teaching me how to add. With an attitude like that why even send our kids to school, where they are "supposed" to get a damned education. All I can say is if your kids in that school save their mind before it's filled with that mans idiocy.
