OMG... where is this school?
Comment by Jonel Burge on January 5, 2011 at 5:55pm

not my high school.

but exactly LIKE my highschool.

Right down to the way everyone talks.

Where is this?

"I can't believe a black person could evolve from a white person."

Actually we've proven that it's the other way around, my country friend.

I wish I could watch it again, and dissect it and share my own experiences, but I'm being a little emotional today, so I'm just going to bookmark it, share it with my friends, and come back later.

At least the first girl actually understands the basic concept.

"We couldn't have evolved from a simple organism ..."

Good girl.  Now continue your education!

This makes me so sad. Really? When teachers let bullshit ideas be taken as fact and then treat actual scientific fact as something not worthy of honestly discussing and explaining, it is no wonder why the United States is in such a slump. People hate science and love religion... Idiocracy, here we come.

I think this is just another way of teenagers to rebel against any form of authority within the school walls.

THey might look back at it one day, when they're older, and say : "Holy sh*t, I was a real pain in the *ss back then."

@Billy, are you kidding? these kids are obviously conformists respecting the authority of their teacher and their school. The rebel is the atheist at the back of the class who didn't get interviewed because he didn't fit the spot's producer's agenda.

@Bill or who did get interviewed but had something smart to say and thus was never cut into the video.

Another reason not to repreoduce... eventually, you have to send your little larva  out into the world and they have to face deafeningly  irredeemable ignorance like this.

@Em W.
I thought about the same sentence, only IMO he would not have any issues in saying that sentence to one of the smart folk in his clasroom (evolutionists) about their "theory".

After watching this video I'm now certain I'm gonna be homeschooling my kids. I mean, c'mon they should imprison people like him for making goo out of young peoples brains!

I sure hope he's been fired. There is absolutely no place for religion in a science classroom.

It seems like the teacher hasn't got the faintest inkling of an idea of how evolution actually works, and so he's teaching the kids that because he doesn't understand it, obviously they won't be able to understand it, and so it must not be true.

This is why I wish I was still an education major, but I know I'd just end up slamming my head in doors.
