"If you don't believe in something supernatural, how can you imagine that you yourself have supernatural abilities enough to survive."
The look on her face while she said that was disturbing.

Why doesn't she shows us someone with "supernatural abilities" surviving an imminent death and living for ever?
Comment by Richard Raymond on October 23, 2011 at 10:51am I agree. I do believe in a higher power than myself, it's called the "UNIVERSE" not god. When people talk about god we assume they're talking about their god of the bible or koran, which we know is a bunch of hokey and myth. I think it's more about not thinking that you're the only important thing in the universe, which is what a lot of religious people think. So, by believing there's a so-called higher power that looks over us in the image of man, you are not only being a supernatural thinker (religious), but you feel you are something special that will go to heaven if you believe and hell if you don't. I think these believers need to study a lot more science, philosophy and psychology. Maybe just thinking more deeply about it would help them out.

Comment by Gaytor on October 23, 2011 at 1:54pm She apparently responded on her blog to this. She attempted to clear up the matter but only proved that she was using statistically irrelevant conclusions. Link

It was clarified after the fact that she was referring to medical survival rates. It was also clarified later that the claim was specious at best (*gasp* a shocker, I know).
edit: oops, I missed Gaytor's link, which addresses that already.
Comment by Gabriela Menicucci on October 23, 2011 at 8:40pm @Kris, I see. She jumped into conclusions before doing her homework and went to an international channel to voice her misconceptions. Typical.
