     The quality of public discussion in America is poor because the line between entertainment and authentic discussion has blurred. Actors have opinions worth hearing?

Fact is people respond to this kind of thing. In politics people don't vote for issues, don't vote for their own interests or own ideas, they vote for persons, well not even persons, images - a nice coiffure trumps a good brain - and identify with them. That is human.

Who says it and how it is said is so much more important than what is being said. What is being done even less.

OK, have a bible curriculum.  I think it needs to touch on every religion and all ways of thinking.  This will help the children who are being brainwashed from a very small age and know nothing else.  Religion in school wouldn't be a bad idea as long as they touched base on all outlooks.  I cant believe anyone would think its ok to just force their religion to be taught and not see a problem with it.
